Versatile Antibody Diluent, IC-8011

Product Introduction

This product is a ready-to-use, versatile antibody diluent formulated for the dilution of primary and secondary antibodies used in Western blot (WB), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications. Antibodies represent critical and often costly reagents in molecular biology and immunology research, and their proper dilution directly impacts experimental sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility. This versatile antibody diluent is designed to preserve antibody stability and activity during incubation and storage, while minimizing non-specific binding and background signal. The optimized formulation supports the effective use of antibodies across multiple detection platforms, enabling researchers to standardize antibody dilution workflows and reduce experimental variability. The diluent is compatible with a broad range of antibody types, including conventional antibodies, phospho-specific antibodies, and labeled antibodies.

Product Features

1. Versatile Application: Suitable for primary and secondary antibody dilution in WB, IF, and IHC.

2. Antibody Stability: Preserves antibody activity during incubation and short-term storage.

3. Low Background: Optimized to reduce non-specific binding and enhance signal-to-noise ratios.

4. Ready-to-Use Format: Supplied as a ready-to-use solution requiring no additional preparation.

5. Broad Compatibility: Compatible with conventional antibodies, phospho-specific antibodies, and various detection systems.

Specifications

Size: Available in 100 mL and 500 mL

Application: Primary and secondary antibody dilution for WB, IF, and IHC

Formulation: Ready-to-use solution

Storage and Stability

Storage Conditions: Store at 4¡æ, protected from light. For long-term storage, aliquoting and storing at -20¡æ is recommended.

Shelf Life: The product is stable for 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored as directed. After opening, use within 6 months when stored at 4¡æ.

Protocol (For Reference Only)

Important: Use aseptic technique when handling the diluent to maximize storage life. The optimal antibody dilution should be determined empirically for each antibody and application.

1. Antibody Dilution: Dilute primary or secondary antibodies in Versatile Antibody Diluent to the desired working concentration according to the antibody manufacturer''s recommendations or experimentally optimized titers. Mix gently by pipetting or inversion. Do not vortex.

2. Western Blot (WB): Following membrane blocking, incubate the membrane with primary antibody diluted in this diluent according to standard protocols. After washing, incubate with HRP-conjugated or fluorescent secondary antibody also diluted in this diluent. Wash and detect according to standard procedures.

3. Immunofluorescence (IF): Dilute primary and secondary antibodies in this diluent. Following staining, wash cells or tissue sections thoroughly to remove unbound antibody.

4. Immunohistochemistry (IHC): Dilute primary and secondary antibodies in this diluent. Apply to tissue sections according to standard IHC protocols.

Precautions

1. Store at 4¡æ. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20¡æ. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

2. Do not dilute the ready-to-use diluent unless specifically required; dilution may compromise antibody stability.

3. The optimal antibody dilution must be determined empirically for each antibody and application.

4. For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.

FAQ (Simplified)

Q1: Can this diluent be used for all three applications (WB, IF, IHC)?

A1: Yes. This versatile antibody diluent is formulated for use with primary and secondary antibodies in Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry applications.

Q2: Can I reuse diluted antibodies prepared with this diluent?

A2: Antibodies diluted in this diluent may be reused depending on antibody stability and storage conditions. Store diluted antibodies at 4¡æ and monitor performance. Discard if signal quality declines.

Q3: Is this diluent suitable for phospho-specific antibodies?

A3: Yes. This diluent is compatible with phospho-specific and other modification-specific antibodies. For optimal phospho-antibody performance, ensure that samples are prepared with appropriate phosphatase inhibitors.

Disclaimer
