Product Introduction

PicoGreen is a product for fluorescence detection and quantification of dsDNA, which is highly sensitive. Commonly used in molecular biology techniques: construction of cDNA libraries, purification and application of subcloned DNA fragments, such as DNA quantification, product amplification, and further detection of primers. The conventional method for detecting DNA content is to measure its absorbance at 260 nm. The main disadvantage of this method is that nucleotides, single stranded nucleic acids, and proteins have a significant impact on the signal, and are also subject to interference from pollutants during nucleic acid preparation, making it difficult to distinguish between DNA and RNA. Additionally, this method is insensitive (A260=0.1 for 5ug/mL dsDNA solution). The PicoGreen quantitative detection method is simple and convenient, becoming the standard for residual DNA detection in biological products.

PicoGreen only emits fluorescence after binding to dsDNA, and the intensity of the fluorescence emitted is proportional to the concentration of DNA. PicoGreen can detect dsDNA in the range of 25 pg/mL to 1000 ng/mL, with a good linear relationship (R2>0.99).

Usage

For a detection system with a final volume of 200ul, a 0.1 mL specification can detect 200 samples, and a 1 mL specification can detect 2000 samples.
Note:PicoGreen working fluid is best prepared and used immediately to ensure optimal results.

Storage

Store at 4 ¡æ away from light, with expiration date indicated on the outer packaging.

Important

1.Before use, please centrifuge the product instantly to the bottom of the tube before conducting subsequent experiments.

2. Fluorescent dyes all have quenching problems, please try to avoid light as much as possible to slow down fluorescence quenching.

3. For your safety and health, please wear lab clothes and disposable gloves when operating.
