Neutral Balsam Mounting Medium is an excellent sealing agent for microtechnology, which is similar to Canadian gum in properties and uses. Neutral Balsam Mounting Medium is the same as Canadian gum. It is a kind of natural resin. After refining and neutralization, it is dissolved in transparent agent to form 60% solution. Its refractive index is similar to that of glass. After drying, it condenses into a transparent and colorless solid without shrinkage, yellowing and cracking. It has no shortcomings like Canadian gum, such as yellowing over a long period of time and oxidation discoloration of slices. The section specimens were stained with hematoxylin, eosin, safranine, solid green and magenta, and the color of them remained unchanged after several years of storage. Many intact specimens, such as Haemophilus, Dactylogyrus and other parasites, can be sealed with Neutral Balsam Mounting Medium.
At present, Neutral Balsam Mounting Medium is widely used in biology, medicine, as a sealing agent for biological slices, and as a cement for optical glass instruments.

Usage
The sealing method is very simple.
-Drop 2-3 drops of gum in the center of the glass slide (note that they should be dropped together, otherwise there will be bubbles).
-Then slowly put the cover glass on it and gently squeeze it.
-The gum will spread to the outside of the whole lens.
-After airing for a few hours, wipe the excess gum on the edge of the lens with cotton ball and transparent agent or turpentine oil.
Storage
Then put it in a ventilated place to dry, and the seal can be stored at room temperature.
