Notoginsenoside R1 ,80418-24-2

Cat.No.:IC-01281391

Product Information

Biological Activity

Notoginsenoside R1 (Sanchinoside R1), a saponin, is isolated from P. notoginseng. Notoginsenoside R1 exhibits anti-oxidation, anti-inflammatory, anti-angiogenic, and anti-apoptosis activities. Notoginsenoside R1 provides cardioprotection against ischemia/reperfusion injury. Notoginsenoside R1 also provides neuroprotection in H₂O₂-induced oxidative damage in PC12 cells[1][2][3].
In Vitro£ºNotoginsenoside R1 (2.5¨C80 ¦ÌM; 24 h) inhibits hypoxia/reoxygenation-induced cell death, intracellular ROS accumulation, and mitochondrial membrane depolarization in H9c2 cardiomyocytes[1].
Notoginsenoside R1 (5¨C20 ¦ÌM; 24 h) inhibits hypoxia/reoxygenation-induced apoptosis in H9c2 cardiomyocytes in a concentration-dependent manner[1].
Notoginsenoside R1 (1¨C100 ¦ÌM; 24 h) dose-dependently protects PC12 cells and primary neurons against A¦Â-induced cell death and apoptosis[2].
Notoginsenoside R1 (10 ¦ÌM; 24 h) inhibits A¦Â25¨C35-induced ROS production, mitochondrial damage, and MAPK activation in PC12 cells[2].

Animal A (mg/kg) = Animal B (mg/kg) multiplied by  (Animal B Km / Animal A Km)
For example, to modify the dose of resveratrol used for a mouse (22.4 mg/kg) to a dose based on the BSA for a rat, multiply 22.4 mg/kg by the Km factor for a mouse and then divide by the Km factor for a rat. This calculation results in a rat equivalent dose for resveratrol of 11.2 mg/kg.
